Installation & Maintenance

How it Works

When the life jacket is activated—either through manual pull-cord or automatic water-sensitive triggers—the cylinder's seal is breached, releasing the pressurized CO₂ to instantly inflate the bladder of the life jacket.

Maintenance Guidelines

Regular Inspection: Check the cylinder for any signs of corrosion, dents, or leaks during every pre-boating safety check.
Expiration Monitoring: While the steel is durable, ensure the cylinder is replaced if the life jacket's overall service life has expired or if the seal has been compromised.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations.

Safety Precautions

Do Not Attempt to Refill: These are single-use, disposable cylinders. Never attempt to refill a spent cylinder.
Proper Disposal: Once used, dispose of the cylinder according to local environmental regulations for pressurized gas canisters.
Avoid Impact: Do not drop or strike the cylinder, as high-pressure vessels should be handled with care.
