Installation Guidelines
To ensure maximum effectiveness, follow these installation best practices:
- Visibility: Mount the sign at eye level or directly above the eye wash station to ensure it is within the immediate line of sight.
- Obstructions: Ensure the sign is not obscured by equipment, shelving, or other safety gear.
- Surface: The sign can be mounted on most smooth surfaces using appropriate adhesives or fasteners (depending on the specific mounting hardware used during installation).
Maintenance and Cleaning
To maintain high visibility and compliance:
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or grime. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface or fade the colors.
- Inspection: Periodically check the sign for signs of fading, cracking, or physical damage caused by environmental exposure.
- Replacement: Replace the sign immediately if it becomes damaged, faded, or obscured, as it is a critical safety component.
Safety and Compliance
This sign serves as a visual aid to support workplace health and safety regulations. While the sign identifies the location, it does not replace the requirement for functional, compliant eye wash stations as mandated by local safety standards.
